Meet the Pitchers IWD 2025: COSI Ontario

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been showcasing the amazing entrepreneurs who participated in our International Women’s Day Pitch Night. Today we’re thrilled to spotlight Community of Special Individuals (COSI) and the vision they have of helping families access vital resources.
Led by entrepreneurs, advocates and moms Susan Jones Moore and Heather Vanhuis, COSI Ontario aims to redesign how families of children with disabilities access government support and resources. Their goal is to provide a centralized hub that simplifies complex systems, empowers families with tailored solutions, and fosters a vibrant, connected community. By addressing critical gaps—such as scattered information, overwhelming processes, and underutilize funding—COSI Ontario strives to create a streamlined and impactful experience for families who need it most.
Through an affordable membership model, COSI Ontario offers families access to essential resources, while its educational video library and personalized coaching services save time and reduce stress. With a scalable approach to funding management and community engagement, COSI Ontario is dedicated to empowering families and redefining the future of special needs care.
They are seeking feedback and mentorship from individuals with expertise in online sales and scaling digital platforms to help them refine their approach and maximize their impact. Additionally, potential seed funding would help to support the development of their centralized hub, expand their reach, and provide families with the tools and resources they need.
