New Member Spotlight – Blue Mountain Berry Co.
It’s the first day of summer, and the perfect time to tell you about another recent new member to the Blue Mountains Chamber of Commerce, Blue Mountain Berry Co.!
Blue Mountain Berry Co. is a multigenerational family farm right in the middle of Thornbury. Originally an apple orchard farmed by Charlie and Bea Ardiel, the land is being replanted and reimagined as a raspberry farm, with their great grandchildren following in the family tradition 75 years later.
The 2023 picking season kicks off on Friday, July 7, and they invite you to come and enjoy some farm-fresh produce and family fun while you pick your own berries. Or let them do the work, and purchase pre-picked pints at their fruit stand. Making jam? Email them at to place larger orders 48 hours in advance, and they’ll have your berries picked and ready to go. They also offer wholesale accounts to local food partners, with free delivery to wholesalers within 15kms of the farm.
