New Member Spotlight: Thornbury BIA

We’re delighted to welcome another new member to the Blue Mountains Chamber, the Thornbury BIA!
The Thornbury Business Improvement Area (BIA) is committed to supporting a thriving, dynamic downtown that benefits local businesses, residents, and visitors alike. Situated on the shores of Georgian Bay, Thornbury was established in 1833, and today its downtown is home to more than 120 shops, restaurants, galleries, and services that contribute to a lively, four-season destination.
The Thornbury BIA enhances the economic vitality of the downtown core by actively supporting its members through marketing initiatives, beautification projects, and strategic partnerships. From seasonal décor and flower displays to promoting local businesses through campaigns and events, the BIA works year-round to increase visibility, drive foot traffic, and create a welcoming, vibrant environment for everyone.
Signature events such as Olde Fashioned Christmas, Canada Day celebrations, and Wag-O-Ween attract visitors from across the region while strengthening community ties. In addition to these events, the BIA organizes seasonal promotions and activations designed to support local entrepreneurs, showcase new businesses, and keep the downtown experience fresh and engaging.
