International Women’s Day Lunch & Panel Discussion

Join us for an afternoon of lunch, learning and discussion as we celebrate International Women’s Day 2023.
When: Wednesday, March 8 11:00am-1:30pm
Where: Marsh Street Centre, Clarksburg
Tickets: Available through Eventbrite, or by contacting the ">Blue Mountains Chamber of Commerce
Ukrainian women will share their incredible stories of fleeing the war and relocating to Canada to build a new business and a new life in Grey County. We will also hear from local community members who have provided support to the women and their families to help them flourish in unimaginably challenging circumstances. The women will treat us to a delicious lunch of traditional Ukrainian foods, during which we will all have a chance to network and connect.
The cost of a ticket is a minimum donation of $15. All proceeds from the event will go to support the Backpacks For Learning Program, which provides youth in need with food security and personal care items through Georgian Bay Community School. The program is a way to support students facing socio-economic and family challenges with food and toiletries, and to help build bridges of engagement at school. It is funded entirely through donations from local community members, churches, service clubs and organizations, and operates outside of any board or government funding. Please give what you can to help this local, grassroots program continue to do the important work they do in our community.
Tickets will be available until Monday, March 6 at 12pm, or until the event sells out. Click HERE to get yours.
Presented by the Town of the Blue Mountains and the Blue Mountains Chamber of Commerce.
