Listed under
Tom is a third generation apple grower who moved his operation to the Beaver Valley beginning in 2007 . He began renovating the existing orchard planting the most progressive super-spindle orchard in Ontario, a first of its kind. On the 20 acres of orchard, there are approximately 52 000 trees. That's an astonishing 2600 trees per acre.
The Ferri's, Tom & Karen, have 7 varieties of apples planted, including the coveted Honey Crisp, the traditional Mac, and the latest Canadian variety, Ambrosia. They run a farm-gate market during harvest, Sept-Oct. In addition to their apples, they also offer apple blossom honey and Grandad Jack's Apple Cider. The cider is pressed on-site with TK apples.
The orchard has also been host to the Community Long Table Event raising money for local charities and initiatives. Over the years, Tom & Karen have donated over 75 000 pounds to Food Banks.
*Please note that the operating hours listed below are for our farm-gate market, which is open in September and October.*
