What Reopening Is Looking Like In The Blue Mountains
Ontario Announces 3-Step Roadmap to Reopen

The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, has released its Roadmap to Reopen, a three-step plan to safely and cautiously reopen the province and gradually lift public health measures based on the province-wide vaccination rate and improvements in key public health and health care indicators. The following is a summary of key dates and activities permitted under each step of the reopening plan. *Please note that these dates are estimated guidelines only, and are subject to change depending on current COVID-19 cases in Ontario and vaccination rates across the province.*
May 22, 2021 – Outdoor recreation, with restrictions and distancing, can resume, including golf, tennis, and skateparks; sports leagues and fitness classes are not permitted
Step 1 June 14, 2021 – Outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people; outdoor dining with a maximum of 4 people per table; non-essential retail can operate at 15% capacity; outdoor fitness classes, personal training and sports training up to 10 people
Step 2 July 5, 2021 – Outdoor gatherings of up to 25 people; outdoor sports and leagues can resume with restrictions; personal care services where face coverings can be worn at all times
Step 3 July 26, 2021 – Indoor dining can resume, with distancing and restrictions; indoor sports and fitness classes are permitted; personal service care without face coverings; galleries, museums and libraries can reopen
The province will remain in each step for at least 21 days to evaluate any impacts on key public health and health system indicators. If at the end of the 21 days, the following vaccination thresholds have been met, along with positive trends in other key public health and health system indicators, then the province will move to the next step.
