The BMCC Celebrates Small Business Week

At the end of October, the BMCC proudly partnered with the Town of The Blue Mountains and the Small Business Enterprise Centre – SBEC to present two great events to celebrate Small Business Week.
The first was a hands-on, in-depth afternoon workshop, led by digital marketing expert Jess Haney. She provided proven strategies and practical tips to help small business owners transform their email contact lists into powerful marketing tools. Thanks so much to Jess for sharing her insight and experience through such an engaging session. We learned a lot, and really enjoyed the chance to share ideas with other local professionals.
Then we co-hosted an evening of fun and connection in TBM’s gorgeous Town Hall Atrium at our Small Business Week Social. There was a great turnout of local entrepreneurs, and the people who champion them, for cocktails, delicious nibbles from Bruce Wine Bar and live music with Jason Redman. Local business associations, including the BMCC, the Blue Mountain Village Association, the Clarksburg Village Association, the Thornbury BIA and the Small Business Enterprise Centre – SBEC were there to showcase the ways we work to support the business community, and Mayor Andrea Matrosovs and TBM Director of Strategic Initiatives, Tim Hendry, shared news about the Town’s current and upcoming economic initiatives. It was a fantastic evening, and we’re already looking forward to doing it again next year.
Thank you to the team at SBEC and to the Town for making these events possible, to everyone who showed up to learn and have some fun, and to all of the entrepreneurs and small business owners who are the heartbeat of our community.
