Kitchen Manager Position
The Corner Café & Grill is seeking a Kitchen Manager to supervise daily back of house restaurant operations in a four season tourist destination.
Responsibilities include:
– Supervising proper food prep
– Placing orders from vendors to ensure proper par levels while minimalizing waste
– Scheduling, hiring, training, & supervising BOH staff
– Inventory control
– Working effectively and efficiently on line to deliver quality and consistent food to customers
– Managing COGS
– Full time hours (approx. 45hrs/week)
Requirements:
– Thorough knowledge of food & menu costing
– Inventory processes
– 2 years management experience
– Food Handling Certificate recognized in Ontario
– Must be available nights and weekends, particularly holidays
– Proven past success in role as Kitchen Manager/Chef
– Ability to maintain calm demeanor and strong staff morale in a demanding work environment
Compensation:
– $60k-80k based on experience and lodging requirements
– Incentive program
