August After 6 at Events For Life

Our After 6 last night was truly wonderful, and we have our co-hosts, Events for Life and Lifestyles North Real Estate, and our members who came out to join us to thank.

We were so lucky to get the chance to explore the stunning Events For Life property, which hosts a not-for-profit day program for special needs adults from the Blue Mountains area. We enjoyed delicious appetizers from Gio & Fran’s, and beverages generously donated by The Roost Wine Co and Gingerbug Brewing Company Inc. (The Roost’s crisp and summery sparkling rose was a particular hit). Add some locally brewed Still Fields Brewery lager, some tunes by musician Craig Smith, some awesome raffle prizes, and a lot of fun connecting with our members, and you pretty much have the perfect night.

Thank you so much to Steve and Marla Simon from Lifestyles North, and to Shelley Higginson, BMCC Board member Barb Weeden, and the rest of the incredible staff and volunteers at Events For Life for making it such a memorable night. A special shout-out to Beaver Creek Farm, who donate the property, farmhouse and workshop where the Events For Life participants play, create and learn.

We never need to be reminded of how unique and amazing this place we get to live and work is, but last night sure made us feel even luckier to be part of this collaborative and beautiful community.
