BEAVER VALLEY OUTREACH. NEW PREMISES RENOVATIONS,
PREQUALIFICATION CALL FOR STATEMENTS OF INTEREST
GENERAL CONTRACTORS having previous experience and expertise, are invited to apply for prequalification to submit bids in respect to interior renovations and an extension to the building at 54 King Street East, The Blue Mountains, ON N0H 2P0 (previously Pipers Restaurant and Habitat) for Beaver Valley Outreach (BVO).
Most of the interior demolition has been completed and the shell of the building is ready for renovation.
The general scope of the work is construction of the interior 4,500 sq. ft. space on the main floor as per diagrams, and involves all general trades, design and installation of electrical and mechanical systems, construction of a lean-to roof over the donation bins, as well as construction of a 360 sq. ft. addition on two levels and the installation of a freight elevator in the addition.

Prequalification submissions will be received at BVO on the required forms only, no fax or email; submissions will be accepted until:
September 11th 2017
Those firms selected as a result of the prequalification process will be so advised prior to the bid period and only those prequalified firms will be included in the invitation to bid on the construction of the project.
It is currently projected that Bid documents will be ready by September 18th 2017, or as soon thereafter as is possible, and will be available for pick up at the location noted above. Bids must be received before:

Only sealed bids will be accepted, no faxed or emailed bids will be accepted. Bids will be opened and read aloud 30 minutes after the submission deadline.
(Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond in the amount of 3% of the Bid Price, a 100% performance bond, and a 100% labour and material bond). REVISED: So, as not to exclude small local companies, bonding is no longer required.
Beaver Valley Outreach reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submissions at its sole discretion, the lowest or any bid not necessarily accepted.
