Anyone may nominate a business for consideration, however the nominee must meet three criteria to qualify for an award:

1. Business must be a member in good standing of the Blue Mountains Chamber of Commerce
2. Business must be active and operational for the twelve months preceding the nomination
3. Business must be active and operational at the time of the awards presentation, which is usually the AGM in March
