The Blue Mountains Chamber of Commerce holds its Annual General Meeting and Business Recognition Awards Dinner in late March. As a part of that meeting, we present the Business Recognition Awards to celebrate businesses that have been models for the Town in 2016.  
 
There are 6 award categories below.  Please review the Nomination Guidelines, and nominate one or more of the businesses before Wednesday, March 1st, 2017.

Send your nominations by email to president@bluemountainschamber.ca with “Nominee” as the subject line or by regular mail to PO Box 477, Thornbury, ON, N0H 2P0.  Include the following information:

  1. Name of Nominee
  2. Name of BRA Award category the nomination pertains to
  3. Link to website or profile of nominated business
  4. 250 word description of how the nominee merits the Award
  5. Disclosure (relationship of nominator to nominee)
  6. Name of Nominator/Chamber member. 

More details on the timing, venue and agenda for the AGM will follow in the coming weeks.

Business Recognition Awards Categories

Business of the Year
The Business has shown outstanding achievement in growth, innovation, leadership, and has had a positive impact on the community through good business citizenship

Entrepreneur of the Year
Presented to a business owner, new or existing, who in the last 12 months has developed their business to meet changing community and consumer demands. They will have provided a high level of business service, a product or service needed, as well as being involved in the community.

Carol Kordts Customer Service Award
Will recognize a local business, its management and staff for successfully demonstrating quality customer service. An organization that is appreciated for its helpful and efficient service, dedicated to customer satisfaction and willing to go the extra mile.

Above & Beyond - Site Enhancement Award
Presented to existing businesses that have significantly improved the landscaping and/or facade of the business premises.

Above & Beyond: Sustainable Innovation
Presented to a company that has demonstrated sensitivity to environmental impacts, and is a leader in advancing the principles of sustainability.

Above & Beyond: Economic Impact
Presented to a company that has had a significant impact on the economy of the region through its business.
